Barbara Quimby is a Postdoctoral Research Scholar with the Kyl Center for Water Policy at Morrison Institute, Arizona State University. She earned her Ph.D. in Geography from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and San Diego State University. Specializing in the political ecology of multiscale social-ecological systems, her research interests include equity and power in natural resource governance, sustainable small-scale food systems, and environmental conservation. Her research has examined co-management institutions and emerging social processes for coastal fisheries management in Indonesia and Samoa. She brings to the project her experience with community engagement for natural resource management and training in mixed social science methods.
