Two themes run through my research and extension program, demographic renewal and economic opportunities. Being located at the Panhandle Research and Extension Center in Scottsbluff, I am keenly aware of the opportunities and challenges that impact rural areas. From my viewpoint, these two issues are the primary drivers impacting the future of many rural communities across Nebraska. My goal is to provide research-based information through a variety of educational opportunities so that stakeholders can make informed decisions linked to these critical issues.
