Peter Kleinman is a Research Leader for the Pasture Systems and Watershed Management Research Unit, a $5.8 million program that conducts research to advance the sustainability of agricultural production systems through profitable management strategies that also protect natural resources. He obtained a doctorate from Cornell University in 1998. He is a fellow of the Soil and Water Conservation Society, American Society of Agronomy, and Soil Science Society of America. He is a member of the editorial boards of Journal of Environmental Quality, Agriculture and Environmental Letters, and Journal of Soil and Water Conservation. Peter brings to this project his accomplished career focused on balancing production and water quality priorities in Chesapeake agriculture.
