Charlayne Mitchell is a Global Health Ph.D. candidate in the School of Human Evolution and Social Change at Arizona State University. She received her M.S. in Human Nutrition and her B.S. in Apparel Studies and Productive Development from the University of Arkansas.
With interest in Southern Black women’s health, Charlayne’s research investigates the health narratives of Black women and how their voices can be a tool utilized to facilitate more meaningful and equitable health strategies for prevention and treatment methods for this community. Her fieldwork is in Mississippi.
