Chrissie Bausch is a Research Analyst with the Morrison Institute for Public Policy at Arizona State University (ASU). She is an interdisciplinary social scientist with a doctorate in Sustainability from ASU. Dr. Bausch’s research examines how governance and policies for farming and ranching are evolving to address sustainability and adaptation concerns on farms and ranches, and the social-ecological systems in which they are embedded. She explores how priorities, tradeoffs and synergies across different functions of agriculture are mediated for the benefit of different system objectives and social groups. She has collaborated on several inter- and transdisciplinary research projects in which she has worked with farmers, ranchers, activists and decision makers on issues of food security, land and water management, ecosystem services, agricultural supports, and urban-rural dynamics in Mexico and Arizona. Her work at Morrison Institute focuses on issues of natural resource management, livability, equity, and collaboration.
