Shad Nelson is the Dean of the Dick and Mary Lewis Kleberg College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Human Sciences at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. He holds a bachelor’s degree in horticulture and a master’s degree in agronomy from Brigham Young University and a doctorate in soil science from the University of California, Riverside. Shad has over eighteen years of water conservation experience with emphasis on improving on-farm water management strategies, and investigations into the fate and transport of agricultural chemicals in soil-water systems.
